Cerulean Blue

The sky was a beautiful cerulean blue last night.

Cerulean blue was my favorite crayon when I was little.

I was always sad when it was missing from the box...which was often because it seemed it was everyone's favorite color.

My Mother is exceptional at coloring.  Honestly she's the best I've ever seen.  She used to really take her time and outlined everything and then shade it in.

I loved coloring growing up.

One time in high school there was this girl...I can't remember her name but she definitely marched to the beat of her own drum.

She always dressed in Gothic clothing and sat by herself during free period.

I saw her coloring once and asked her about it and she said her therapist recommended she do it to calm herself down.

I've noticed a trend of adult coloring books in stores recently and I think there is something therapeutic about coloring.

And by "adult" I don't mean R rated material I mean "grown up".

For example there is a Bill Murray coloring book that is popular right now.

Jeff bought be a few grown up coloring books a couple years ago and I have yet to do them and that makes me sad.

Bialosky's Christmas

"Did you ever read Bialosky's Christmas?" I asked Becca with eagerness.

Long pause, Beccca looked me right in the eyes and said "It was my favorite!!!"

I loved this book growing up!

I looked it up on Amazon and turns out there were more Bialosky's books I had no idea even existed:

Bialosky's Special Picnic
Bialosky's Baking Book

And my personal favorite title Bialosky Stays Home.

Please comment if you loved this book!

Sonic's Diet Cherry Limeade

The Diet Cherry Limeade at Sonic is so good that I drank it for 10 days straight.

You heard me!

If you like a tart, limey, cold drink then this is the drink for you.

The Sonic workers do not care that I like my drinks diet.

I often have to explain it to them several times.

One time one of the workers was like "Oh you want it with diet stuff, I've just been giving you the regular drink."

Great, so that's why my jeans are so tight.

I used to only be able to get my Sonic fix in Texas and I love that we have one in the city now!

Starbucks Skinny Peppermint Mocha

My readers have spoken (3 people not including my family) and they want me to start posting again!

So I'M BACK!

Fall has always been my favorite season but for some reason this year my mind has skipped fall and has moved on to Christmas!

I really like Starbucks and independent coffee shops so let's not get in a fight...I like both!

I have yet to really master making a good cup of coffee at home and there is just something so thrilling about stopping in a coffee shop before coming into work in the mornings.

Why is that so thrilling?  You would think saving money and bringing in my own coffee from home would make me more happy but it doesn't.

My go to Starbucks drinks are the iced skinny hazelnut and skinny vanilla lattes.

I love iced coffee even on the coldest winter day.

Why are those my go to drinks?  Because they taste pretty good and don't have a million calories.

Well my friends I am so happy to share with you that the seasonal Skinny Peppermint Mocha is back and it is my all time favorite skinny drink at Starbucks.

I tried looking up how to make it at home and did you know that Starbucks used to sell the sugar free peppermint syrup but has since stopped.  Why? Because they don't want me to make it at home, they want me to spend $5.47.

I've already bought 2 this week and each time I have told myself "This is ridiculous Jeannie!"

But you know what this drink just makes me so happy.

Is it full of chemicals?  I don't know probably.

Should I probably make my own with peppermint leaves that I foraged myself?

Probably but ain't nobody got time for that.
