I've only seen the Oprah show maybe 5 times in my entire life.
Because its on at 4 in the afternoon.
Who is home at 4 in the afternoon?
I played sports my whole life and never got home from school till after 6pm.
Every job I've ever had ended after 5pm.
Who are these people who get to watch Oprah?
I've heard about Oprah's infamous "Favorite Things" episodes over the years as they've been parodied numerous times.
However I had never seen it...until this year.
We were allowed to get off the boat last Friday in L.A. for one night and I was in my hotel room at 2am and they replayed Oprah's Ultimate Favorite Things 2010.
"This I got to see." I said to myself and tucked myself in bed.
The episode started off with O standing in what looked like a completely different studio.
It was grey and dreary and she was wearing an dowdy grey dress.
She informed the audience that the theme of the show was going to be about meditation.
She asked how many people in the audience mediated and a few people raised their hands.
"Hmm..well this simply isn't going to do." O said then things got really quiet and awkward.
Then out of now where she ripped her dress off revealing a glittery red gown and the audience started going BONKERS.
The grey dreary set was raised into the air revealing a Santa's Workshop themed Oprah set.
"It's my ultimate favorite things episode" She screamed as I saw a grown man fall to the ground crying.
Throughout this entire rouse my mouth was complete agape.
It was such a hilarious/ amazing transition that dare I say it knocked my socks off.
With every gift I found myself putting my hands on my cheeks and exclaiming "OH MY GOSH!"
It really was so much fun to watch.
And it looks like this was the best favorite things episode of all time: diamond earring, diamond watches, 3D 54" flat screens, and a 7 day cruise vacation!
The episode ended and I was exhausted from gasping so much then they showed clips for the next days episode.
O films two shows a day so what happened was audience members were being bussed in for her second show of the day and they see all these people stumbling out of Harpo studio carrying giant gifts and they know they just missed her Favorite Things episode.
So the new audience members get settled and O surprises them by having a 2nd Ultimate Favorite Things episode.
I nearly fell out of my bed!
The audience goes bananas.
I was really sad I wasn't able to catch that episode but I heard everyone got a new VW 2011 beetle.
That episode I caught is probable the last one I'll ever see.
I think it was a good one to go out on.

I am fascinated by woman who don't get their hair wet in the pool or ocean.
They just kinda splash around in water up to their thighs and then get back out.
Anytime I'm near a body of water all I want to do is dunk my head under and swim around pretending I'm a mermaid with my long, wet hair trailing behind me in the water.
How do those woman do it?
I've wanted Glamour Shots since 1996.
I had no idea they were still around until I was walking through the Miami Dade Mall and I came across one of their boutiques.
"Jeff they still have Glamour Shots!" I exclaimed and Jeff laughed.
"Why would you ever want them?" Jeff asked.
I know that Glamour Shots are cheesy but there is something so fantastic about the idea of having a personal photo shoot.
Every time I come across a photo booth in a mall I drag who every I am with into them.
I think I would make a great model!
The last time I had a photo session was for my senior pictures and I barely wore any make-up and didn't really put time into picking out my outfits.
I think I am long overdue for getting some pictures of myself done.
Actually I think I'm finally ready to take some head shots.
Does Glamour Shots do head shots?

I'm currently in Acapulco eating a bowl of pozole.
Although I'm used to spelling it posole.
My Mom makes a mean bowl of posole and I was so happy to see it as a special on the menu today because it made me feel all warm inside.
Mom's has a little more kick to it and I prefer hers but this Mexican posole is pretty darn good!
It really hits the spot.
Also I want my parents to know they it was served with sliced onions, radishes, lettuce, tortilla chips and a bowl of limes.
Eating it made me think of home!

I love Martha Stewart.
I'm obsessed with her, her magazine and her T.V. show.
I secretly have been buying her magazine on my iPad and it was only until recently that Jo said "Why do you have all these Martha Stewart magazines on here?"
"No reason!" I replied and quickly snatched my iPad back from her.
I dream of one day having a home that is as beautiful, warm and cozy as the pictures in Martha Stewart Living.
I envision throwing a fantastic annual Halloween party in which I replicate every recipe and decoration in the special edition Martha Stewart Halloween Handbook.
My Thanksgiving and Christmas displays will be impeccable and my husband and children will look at me at say "You are the best wife/mother in the world!"
And lets not forget Easter when I'll whip up a batch of Martha's hot cross buns and fill my clear flower vases with jelly beans.
In my mind all of my Martha dreams WILL HAPPEN.
It is not a matter of "if" its "when".

I've put a lot of thought into what my dying wish would be and I've decided that it would be to see a live performance of Red, White and Blaine with the original (and only) cast.
I watch Waiting for Guffman every few months.
It is one of my favorite movies of all time.
In high school I stumbled upon it at a video store and rented it and my parents and I died of laughter.
After watching it I rented Best in Show and A Mighty Wind and quickly declared Christopher Guest as my favorite director.
Till this day Waiting for Guffman is still my favorite Guest film and I never ever grow tired of watching it.
I have this day dream that I'm sick and lying in a hospital bed and a nurse pokes her head into my room and tells me the hospital has a little surprise for me.
They help me out of bed and I carefully walk into a room and there in front of me is a stage.
I sit down and Bob Balaban cues the orchestra to start the overture and then shortly after Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, Christopher Guest and Parker Posey take the stage and start singing Covered Wagons.
It seems like the kind of thing that could only happen if I was sick and dying although I've often wondered how much it would cost to ask Christopher Guest if he would put up a production of Red, White and Blaine for say my 30th birthday party.
A few days ago in the buffet Jo and I met a passenger who said he lived down the street from Eugene Levy and it made me thing maybe I'm getting closer to this dream becoming a reality.

I was reading and watching T.V. yesterday when a commercial for Subway came on saying that Jared had recently completed the New York Marathon.
"HE DID?" I exclaimed in shock.
I couldn't believe it.
I've always been a little obsessed with Jared the Subway guy.
I love Subway and I love knowing I'm not eating bad when I indulge there.
Jared always pops in my mind when I enter Subway.
I remember once I was at the local gym in high school and I was on an elliptical next to two older woman who weren't really doing the elliptical.
You know those women who just quick start but add no resistance and then don't understand why they aren't loosing weight.
A commercial for Subway came on starring Jared and one woman turned to the other and said "I don't care how much weight he lost he still looks like a nerd."
I remember thinking "How rude!"
Bravo on the marathon Jared!

Jo cannot stop talking about Pop Chips and how they are going to dramatically improve her life once she gets her hands on some.
Mexico and the Caribbean is not the place to go searching for your favorite snack.
They don't have it.
But I love that Jo is always so optimistic.
We'll be in a swamp in the middle of Central America and she'll look over at me and say with a big smile
"Do you think we'll be able to find Pop Chips today?"
And I sadly have to be the one to tell her "No."
"Do you think the ATM in Cartagena will dispense American money?" She'll ask.
And again I have to be the one telling her "No."
"I just like to stay optimistic!" She says back.
Poor Jo she's been talking about Pop Chips ever since Jillian Michaels said they were her favorite snack and gave everyone a sample bag.
I also love Pop Chips and have been eating them since I was in Hawaii but they are tricky to find.
This Thursday Miami day is devoted to us finding them for Jo.
She says she's going to buy a life supply.
Another snack I've been buying in bulk whenever I can are Be Kind bars from Starbucks.
They are delicious.
However I have no idea how much one cost individually.
I'll buy my usually grande latte which is around $3.95 then I'll hand the barista 3 be kind bars and she looks up from the register, smiles and says
"That'll be $21.99."
I keep meaning to ask the real price.
