Passenger T-Shirt

My castmate John pointed out a passenger wearing this t-shirt to me yesterday at lunch.

He was an older man maybe in his 60's and I could just picture him watching the news and yelling to his wife "What is this twitter twatter they keep going on about."

Then I could see his grandchildren buying him the t-shirt for Christmas or his birthday.

I laughed so hard when I saw him that I choked on my food.

This Lady

Out of all the places this lady could have sat to eat her snack before boarding her flight at O'Hare....she chose to sit in a replica of a seat she was going to sit in on her plane.

This baffles me greatly.

I could not stop watching her, wondering why she was putting herself in such an uncomfortable position.

I absolutely hate sitting on airplanes.

Why does this lady love to?

Jalapenos

I have been putting jalapenos on just about everything lately: nachos, salads, burgers, subway sandwiches EVERYTHING.

I've never really been one for heat in my food but as of late I've really taken the plunge.

My brother is a heat maniac and drenches all of his meals in hot sauce.

I've watched him do this for years but have always had a fear of heat.

When I was in sixth grade my Mom made some of her famous homemade salsa and one of the jalapeno seeds got stuck in my braces.

My mouth was on fire!

I could not get the seed out and started to cry.

We tried everything and finally cooled my mouth down by applying a fudgesicle to the area.

I avoided jalapenos after that until recently.

I don't know what has gotten into me but I love heat on my food and I'm unstoppable!

Check out my jalapeno Whataburger.

Old Time Snow Cone maker

I found this picture on a friend's blog and it brought back so many happy memories from my childhood.

My Mom, Brother and I used it all the time in the summer.

The little snow man on the side doubled as a syrup dispenser!

So much fun!

8 Week Old English Bulldog

Before Brett and I left for Hawaii we ran into an 8 week old English Bulldog on Southport.

We both instantly melted.

Believe it or not he was 100% cuter than these pictures I found online.

Real Stair Stepper

I recently started incorporating this stair stepper into my workout.

In college I did this thing almost everyday and found it to be the greatest machine ever.

It's way better than just a normal stair stepper because you actually have to pick up your feet making the depth of you step greater.

I've met a lot of people who fear this machine and I am writing today to tell you not to.

Start off slow go for 20 min.

Just give it a go.

Spongebob Squarepants

I love Spongebob Squarepants so much.

I started watching it back in 2001 with my brother.

When I went off to college I left by Spongebob DVD on all night long to keep me company for the first week away from home.

The following clip is one of my favorites.

Basically the episode is about how Squidward is trying to conduct a local marching band for the Bubble Bowl.

He thinks they are horrible but in the end they prove him wrong.

When I was in high school I loved watching Rocko's Modern Life.

My favorite character was Filbert because he had so many problems.

One of his catch phrases is "I'm nauseous, I'm nauseous, I'm nauseous" which I could always relate to.

When I was in middle school my brother and I loved watching Doug.

I have such fond memories of watching this show.

Who doesn't remember Killer Tofu?

P.S. I love doing impressions of: Spongebob, Patrick, Sandy, Rocko, Heffer, Filbert, Skeeter and Patty Mayonnaise. Please ask me to try them out on you sometime.

An Annoying Obsession

My parents live by a really beautiful shopping center.

I always want to go there however I do not like their Macy's.

Mother and I love shopping at Macy's but when she suggests the one closest to her house I find myself saying "No!"

The reason behind my animosity is this Sunglass Hut that sits in the middle of the store.

During the Christmas season this particular Macy's was bustling and I found myself trying to check out at the Sunglass Hut register.

The sales girl gave me a "look" and waved her arms as if to say "No go away".

"I can only do transactions for THE SUNGLASS HUT here." She said.

I looked around and every other register had a huge line.

"It's only one item." I said trying to negotiate.

"I mean I'm not even able to do it our machines are totally different. Even if I wanted to I can't." She said in a know it all voice.

So we went to another register and waited forever and paid, all the while the sales woman at the Sunglass Hut stood rearranging things and dusting.

We began walking out of the store and my Mom realized she had forgotten to get gift boxes.

Once again I found myself walking over to the Sunglass Hut asking for a box.

The sales woman gave me another "look" and again waved her arms.

"I don't have any gift bags or boxes all I have are SUNGLASS CASES."

I walked away so annoyed and told my Mom I would never set foot in that Macy's again.

Well after the holidays I found myself back there trying to return a hat.

I tried going to the register at I.N.C but the sales woman was on the phone and literally never made eye contact with me.

So once again I found myself at the Sunglass Hut section of Macy's face to face with the same sales woman from Christmas.

"Can I return this hat?" I asked.

"This is the Sunglass Hut I can only to transactions that involve sunglasses." She said rudely.

I walked away again vowing to never come back and so far I haven't.

Side Braids

I have tried and failed several times to achieve the chic summer side braid look.

To me the side braid says to the world:

"Look at me! Its summer and my hair looks cute with hardly any effort. I'm ready to go out for a nice dinner or a Cubs game!"

The subtext is:

"This hairstyle is impossible to do without a stylist."

Am I right ladies?

My hair is pretty long right now and I want to keep it that way but alas the heat is going to be unbearable soon and I predict I'll be throwing my hair into boring pony tails.

If only I could achieve the side braid with a pony tail look.

Did LC invent this hair style?
